The Judiciary hosted a short ceremony at the Palais de Justice on Thursday 3 March 2022 to hand over the special collect which was done during the church service for the Reopening of the Courts ceremony in January 2022.
The Association for Persons with Hearing Impairments was the chosen non-governmental organization to benefit from this special collect – a total of SCR5,719.30 was collected from the church service and various staff within the Judiciary to help the association.
The Chairperson, Anita Gardner, received the funds on the association’s behalf, from the Chief Justice and representatives of the Judiciary.

Following this handover, certificates of recognition for the work done by the Judiciary Choir were handed out to the participants, who put time and effort into practicing ahead of the Reopening of the Courts ceremony so they could sing the hymns in the church. This event was successful due to their participation.
