Neesha Monthy took her oaths before Chief Justice Rony Govinden on 1 June 2022 in court room 1 with a few colleagues, friends, and family in attendance.
In attendance were colleagues from the Attorney General’s office where she did her two year pupillage starting in March 2020. Mr. Georges Thachett, Muhammad Saley, and Stefan Knights from the Attorney General’s office all spoke highly of Ms. Monthy, expressing their support in her becoming an Attorney at Law.
Ms. Monthy addressed the court explaining that she currently works with the Regional Coordination Operations Centre (RCOC) and intends to pursue a Master’s degree.
She passed her Bar Exam in 2019.
