The legal profession welcomed a new member on Monday 13 April , as Joanna Mussard was formally called to the Bar during a ceremony held at the Palais de Justice, before the Chief Justice.
Ms. Mussard holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, which she received in 2018 and went on to successfully completing the Seychelles Bar at the Supreme Court of Seychelles in 2023.
She did her two year pupillage from February 2024 to February 2026 at the Chambers of Rene Durup. Mr. Durup spoke at the ceremony of Ms. Mussard’s hard work and that she is well suited to be an Attorney at Law.
Her colleagues also spoke highly of her, describing her as an ethical person from whom they learned professionalism and dedication.
