Andy Asba is the eldest from a family of two. Following his graduation from the School of Advance Level Studies (SALS) where he studied History and English Literature, he joined the Family Tribunal of Seychelles as an Enforcement Officer in September 2007. In 2008 he completed his A’level in English Law and later enrolled into the University of London International Program to study law at the degree level. In August 2012, he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and 2014 passed the Seychelles Bar Exams.

Following a short stint as Assistant Legal Advisor with the Seychelles Financial Intelligence Unit, Andy Asba later joined the chambers of the Attorney-General of Seychelles as a State Counsel and Assistant Official Notary. During his time at the Attorney-General’s Chambers, he was appointed as Vice-Chairperson of the Family Tribunal of Seychelles.

In March 2017, he was appointed to the office of Magistrate in the Seychelles. In August that same year he was promoted to Chairperson of the Family Tribunal. He is also a part time lecturer in GCE Advanced Level English Law at the Seychelles Institute of Distance Learning.
