The Bar Exam will be held from 21 September to 2 October 2020 at the Palais de Justice.
 
The exam is administered by the Supreme Court and runs only once a year for any law graduates who would like to become an attorney in Seychelles. The exam is a mandatory precursor to the two year pupillage period. 
 
All eligible candidates wishing to sit the Examinations should register with the Registrar of the Supreme Court not later than 21st August 2020.

 
The examinations for admission for Attorneys-at-Law in terms of section 5(1)(a)(v) and section 20 of the Legal Practitioner’s Act will be held on the following dates at 9am at the Palais de Justice:
 
Monday 21 September 2020 – Paper 1 Civil Code of Seychelles and all laws to be read as part thereof
 
Tuesday 22 September 2020 – Paper 2 Seychelles Code of Civil Procedure
 
Thursday 24 September 2020 – Paper 3 (1) Immovable Property (Judicial Sales) Act (2) The Immovable Property (Transfer Restriction) Act (3) The Land Registration Act (4) The Mortgage and Registrations Act
 
Friday 25 September 2020 – Paper 4 (i) Penal Code (ii) Criminal Procedure Code
 
Monday 28 September 2020 – Paper 5 General Principles of Law of Evidence
 
Tuesday 29 September 2020 – Paper 6 Commercial Code Company Law
 
Thursday 1 October 2020 – Paper 7 (i) Civil Status Act (ii) Children Act (iii) Matrimonial Causes Act
 
Friday 2 October 2020 – Paper 8 Constitutional and Administrative Law
